I grew up being obsessed with haircuts. From my dad cutting my hair in the bathroom, to getting matching buzzed cropped cuts with my mom courtesy of a salon in San Francisco Chinatown, I learned early on how a haircut could make you feel. I was a wild child with razors and thinning shears. Going to cosmetology school felt like a no brainer.

I am quick to (mentally) say yes to almost any color request, I believe anyone can have bangs, and not much beats a thorough and collaborative consultation.

In the salon, I love doing heavy foil work (think 1 day dark to blonde transformations), bangs bangs bangs, and layers of any length.

On my days off, I am currently still in the salon! We are undergoing a rebrand! I hope you love! Ask me about my free time in about 3 months 😉

You can have me do your do in either Brooklyn or San Francisco!

COLOR SPECIALIST

After graduating from Aveda Institute Soho in 2008, Shannon began her training as a colorist under Marie Robinson at her eponymous salon located in New York’s trendy Flatiron District. A short time later, she joined Serge Normant at John Frieda working at both of his high-volume Manhattan locations.

Shannon specializes in blondes and sun-kissed brunettes, using balayage techniques. She also prides herself in the art of the double process blonde and enjoys the formulation of a good redhead. Her personal philosophy is simple: A color should complement an individual’s outward beauty, while inspiring their confidence from within.

CUT & COLOR

Priscila is a bicoastal stylist between New York and Los Angeles with over 20 years experience. Although also proficient with shears, razor cuts are among some of her favorite things to do behind the chair. Others include cutting bangs, wavy and curly hair, and haircut corrections. She mainly focuses on rich hues and dimensional blondes for color work but loves to open it up to fun colored hair! When she’s not working with her hands in hair, she’s working with her hands in crafts (IG @tinytiredhands) at home with her cat Harry.

CUT SPECIALIST

My cutting journey began when I was 5 and chopped my waist length hair off while my parents weren’t looking. My mom quickly got used to me changing my hair every month, and prefers it to me using all her Aqua Net as a kid. Since then, I would say I have crafted my cutting skills. I began my career in clipper cutting 14 years ago in Seattle, Washington, then moving onto cutting all lengths.

My work is inspired by film and music mostly, especially obsessed with the clean, proper aesthetic of 60’s hair and the grungy, messy, lived in, wild hair of the 70’s.  If I could have anyone’s hair from that era it would be Patti Smith’s hair in her Chelsea Hotel photoshoot.

Lived-in styles that work for air drying and easy maintenance is my specialty but I love doing shags, clipper cuts, avant-garde cuts, bobs, gender affirming cuts, and large makeovers.  When I’m not in the salon you can find me working on my art, spending time with my 16 year old cat, rollerskating, catching the latest horror movie, record shopping, antiquing, or at a local show.
